1.Things to look out for

There are already many warnings, essays, and posts around eBay surrounding the reality of fake Chinese companies operating on eBay. Posts such as this one (ebay) warn about the many warning signs to check for when starting business with any company on ebay. The post directs users to check for five things:

A.Contact Information

B.Registered Corporate Numbers

a)Business Licenses

b)Organization Codes

c)Relevant Paperwork

C.Price Ranges

a)Check to make sure that prices are not outrageously low or high

D.Payment and Shipment Terms

a)Illegally operating companies will always opt for payment services like Paypal, Western Union, T/T, etc. Shipment preference of these types of organizations will usually deal with express shipping methods such as FedEx, TMT, and EMS

E.Warranty and After Sales Services

a)Scammers will never guarantee post-purchase service, so take this into consideration when planning your business!

2.Cross referencing information

After checking all of these, it is very important to make sure you can verify the information you have collected. The best way to verify is to cross check your information with a large company database. Luckily, CNBizCheck is built specifically for this type of use; with collected data added hourly, CNBizCheck boasts the most comprehensive searchable database of Chinese companies, generating comprehensive reports in seconds at the click of a mouse!

First, CNBizCheck customers can create a profile through the use of their Facebook page. This process is simple, just click “get started now” or “login” on our homepage, sign in using your Facebook profile, and you’re in! When logging in for the first time, you will be asked to fill out a survey; this survey is completely optional. If one chooses to complete the questionnaire, one may be entitled to a free inquiry on our website.

After logging in, it’s time to get verification! On the homepage click “get started now” and follow the directions. There are two different reports one can generate, “Basic” and “Essential”, we have more information on the difference between the two in another of our blog posts. The website will first ask for the registration code or the organization code associated with your target company. These two numbers are very important when searching for a company, but if you do not have them, you can choose to skip this part of the process. On the next page, you will be asked to fill out any information you have on the company:address, English name, Chinese name, etc. Any information you can provide will help to return better results in your search.

Once you have filled out all of the information, click “search” and find your target company in the results. If you cannot find the target company, try repeating the search process. If results continue to not show up, it means that the company you have entered information of may not exist. Our database holds all public records in China recorded by the Chinese government, and a Chinese company cannot operate legally if it has not first been registered.

After finding and selecting your target company, you will be taken to our payment page. We use Paypal for all of our transactions. Once the payment process is complete, you will be able to view and download your report directly from our website; no waiting days or even weeks for a simple report!
